This week we’re continuing our spotlight on a group of local photographers called LAShooters. Let’s look at photos by Jeffrey Peterson, who joined the group on an excursion to the Getty Center.
The photograph above has a subtle color palette and dramatic contrasts of form, the rigid geometry of the railing in the foreground contrasting with the sweeping curves of the building behind it.
In this one, his eyes pick out solid shapes and varying textures.
Highly saturated greens and reds contrast with massive rocks: this almost could be a scene from Jurassic Park.
Drama builds as night falls on the Museum.
And finally, the Getty Center takes on the romantic glow of an Italian hill town.
Our thanks go out to the LAShooters for showing us that no matter how familiar we are with the Getty Center, there are infinite new views to be created and shared.
