A Different Lens was inspired by the 10th anniversary of the Getty Center, which opened in Los Angeles on December 16, 2007. The Center is home to the programs of the J. Paul Getty Trust, an international cultural and philanthropic organization. It is also truly “Your Getty Center”—a place that welcomes over one million on-site visitors each year from L.A. and around the world, and 10 times as many online. This blog, now closed, sampled a range of perspectives from this community.
